Sandals are the ultimate summer shoes. Many people choose them for their comfort and freshness. However, the sandals have a very visible aesthetic problem, namely dark soles, caused by sweat.

If you are looking for solutions to remove black halos from sandals, you have come to the right place. Below we offer some ways to make your favorite sandals look like new again.

Suede sandals. There is a specific tip for cleaning this type of shoes, which is also the most effective. This is sandpaper, which will allow us to achieve incredible and immediate results, leaving the sandals in perfect condition.
Leather sandals. Leather is a delicate material, and we need to know if our sandals are made of treated leather. Just drop a drop of water on the leather sandals: if it slides, it’s treated leather.
You can use baking soda to clean leather sandals, but if it is treated, you should remove it with a cloth dampened with water and vinegar. This combination can work wonders on this material. Leave the bicarbonate on for a day inside before removing it.
Plastic sandals. Most of these shoes can be machine washed and do not require any special care. If the stains do not go away, apply a few drops of tea tree oil: it is very effective against fungi and bacteria responsible for bad odors.
Cork sandals. It is very easy to clean this type of sandals and make them last for a long time. You need hot water, a bristle brush and specific soap for cork. Apply the soap to the sandals, then wet the brush and rub lightly, without applying too much pressure. Once finished, rinse with cold water and let dry. Remember that cork is waterproof.
