The air fryer has become a device used in every Italian household. It is a compact and attractive device capable of perfectly preparing fried foods without the use of oil. Like the traditional deep fryer, this appliance also needs to be thoroughly cleaned, and this requires only a few natural ingredients. The cleaning experts give some advice on how to clean and disinfect this device after use.
HOW DO YOU CLEAN A DEEP FRYER AFTER USE?
Cleaning the fryer after use is very important, as oil and small food particles can interfere with daily use.
In the traditional version, the basket must be cleaned first, while in the air-operated version, the inner compartment must be cleaned. To do this, simply use dish soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. It is one of the easiest parts to clean because it is removable, but it is also the part that comes into contact with food and you should be very careful.
If the dirt is stubborn, it is better to soak the compartment in a container with soap and boiling water. When the grease has dissolved, you can proceed with the complete cleaning.
On the inside of the air fryer or conventional fryer, it is important to use a brush or plastic spatula to remove all the grease that has accumulated. If you clean this part again, it will certainly be easier to clean everything. To clean the interior, a damp cloth soaked in water and lemon juice is enough, rinsed with another clean cloth to remove excess water.
Dirty deep fryer: the natural means of disinfection
For the dirty fryer, you need two main ingredients, namely baking soda and white wine vinegar. The properties of the two ingredients are so strong that together they can remove the remaining fat.
White wine vinegar is essential for the removal of grease and the complete disinfection of the instrument.
The procedure is really simple: just fill a cup with vinegar and baking soda and pour it into the compartment. Immediately after, turn on the device and let the water sit for a thorough cleaning. You can leave the water on for up to 10 minutes to remove grease and crusty dirt.
After this step, remove the water and clean the compartment by wiping off the grease with a soft, clean cloth. Rinse with water and then wipe with a cloth to dry it for good.
Baking soda can also be used on its own by mixing a paste with water and applying it to all the dirty and hard-to-treat areas. Then it is scrubbed with a toothbrush and rinsed again and dried with a clean towel.
