Effective and Inexpensive Stain Remover: A Home Remedy for Stubborn Stains

This stain remover is known for its effectiveness against various types of stains, including food, beverage, and even stubborn, dried stains. It is a cost-effective alternative to commercial stain removers and can save you money in the long run.

Ingredients:

  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) Dawn dish soap
  • 45-60 ml (3-4 tablespoons) hydrogen peroxide
  • A few tablespoons of baking soda

Guide:

  1. In a small bowl or container, mix the Dawn dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda. Stir until you get an even paste.
  2. Apply the mixture directly to the stained area, using a brush or an old toothbrush. Be sure to cover the stain completely with the paste.
  3. Gently rub the stain with the brush by working the mixture into the fabric. Be extra careful not to scrub too vigorously so as not to damage delicate fabrics.
  4. Leave the stain remover on the stain for a few minutes. The hydrogen peroxide and baking soda work together to break up and remove the stain.
  5. After a few minutes, rinse the stained area with cold water. Check to see if the stain is gone. For stubborn stains, you may need to repeat the process.
  6. Once the stain is removed to your satisfaction, wash the garment as usual.
