We tested thyme syrup
This natural remedy is very effective for relieving coughs
“Thyme” is an important medicinal plant for everything related to the immune system (cough, respiratory and ENT infections, bronchitis, angina, flu …). Thyme is a very common plant and is known to be an excellent antiseptic (viruses, bacteria, fungi…).
1- Take 40 g of fresh thyme.

2- Let it steep in 500 ml of water for 24 hours

3- Filter the liquid.
4- Bring to a boil while adding 300g of sugar.

Leave on low heat for 5-1 hour, skimming off the foam.

Allow to cool for 6- 10/15 minutes and add 4 tsp local honey.
Stir well so that the whole thing becomes homogeneous and pour into a container. Can be stored for up to 6 months.
Pour it into a glass bottle (you can use an old syrup bottle).

This syrup is easy to make and is very effective. The whole family embraced it. We take a tablespoon of it in the evening and sometimes when we have a coughing fit during the day. This is a home recipe, a grandmother’s home remedy. Always follow the recommendations of healthcare professionals. Not suitable for children under one year of age.
Thanks to the advice of a beekeeper who explained to me that the honey loses its properties if it is added, if the preparation is too hot… a temperature below 45° would be ideal.
