Herbal drinks have a positive effect on health and can also be used to fertilize plants in the garden or house: from herbs or peels of fruits and vegetables, infusions can be prepared for the fertilization of plants in the form of herbal teas or teas.
You can spray them under the feet of the plants to fertilize them and promote growth, as a substitute for chemical fertilizers.

1. an infusion of seaweed
It is mainly used by people who live by the sea and have the opportunity to collect seaweed. Otherwise, you can buy seaweed. Wash the seaweed and pour it into a bucket. Fill the bucket with water, cover and leave for two months. The result is a solution that can be diluted in water and sprayed on the base of plants to accelerate the development of flowers and fruits.
2. an infusion of plant peels
Place the freshly peeled vegetable peels in a bucket. Cover them with boiling water and let them sit overnight or up to two days. In the morning, drain them, filter them and use the resulting liquid to water the plants.
3. Horsetail tea.
Horsetail extract can be used as an antifungal agent, but also to care for garden plants. It is made from fresh or dried horsetail like a normal infusion. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add a small amount of horsetail, let the mixture steep for 10-15 minutes and strain. Wait for it to cool before using.
4. Nettle tea
Nettle tea is prepared by pouring on the whole plant or just the leaves. It can be used as a fertilizer, especially for plants such as tomatoes. Nettle tea can be diluted and used as a fertilizer for tomato seedlings from 10 days after planting. You can also use fresh nettle leaves that you put in the holes where you plant the seedlings.
5. Coffee grounds infusion
It is one of the many alternative uses of coffee. Coffee infusion for fertilizing plants is obtained by simply adding some leftover coffee (coffee grounds) to the water you use for watering. You can also sprinkle coffee grounds around the roots of the plants. The remedy is particularly suitable for azaleas, blueberries and rhododendrons.
6. Green Tea
Always keep the cooking water of the cooked vegetables. If you want to use it for watering and fertilizing plants, the cooking water should not be salted. So don’t add salt and season the vegetables only after cooking. The minerals released by the vegetables remain in the water. Let it cool, dilute it in a watering can and use the resulting liquid as a natural fertilizer for your plants.
7. Chamomile tea
Chamomile tea can be used as a plant fertilizer in the production of compost. Adding chamomile tea to compost, which is simply made from compost and food scraps, accelerates the decomposition of organic waste. Therefore, kitchen waste, compost and chamomile tea are an excellent natural fertilizer.
8. Calendula tea
Calendula infusion is useful for strengthening the plants in the garden or in pots. Always prepare small amounts of the infusion and use it quickly, pour it into the soil at the base of the plants. For example, 2 teaspoons of dried marigolds are enough for 250 ml of boiling water. Let them sit for 10-15 minutes and let them cool before using.

9. Dandelion Tea
Dandelion tea stimulates plant growth and enriches the soil. Add two teaspoons of dried dandelion to a cup of boiling water. Let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes, filter it and let it cool. Sprinkle it in small amounts at the base of the plants, just as you would with ordinary garden compost.
10. Banana Peel Tea
Banana peels are a natural remedy suitable for fertilizing roses. Cut a banana peel into small pieces and pour it into a container with a spray bottle. Fill the chosen bottle with water, seal it and leave for two weeks. This allows the banana peels to ferment before use. The result is a natural liquid fertilizer that you can spray around your roses to make them bloom.
